Laurel Keeley

I use stoneware and porcelain clays, with turquoise and green, coral and cream, dark drawn lines and pure gold.
I draw fish and rivers, round ponds and plants, glimpses of water through windows. I paint the pattern of fields, the sweep of the Moor and the careful planting and straucture of gardens.
I love estuaries, the sand and caught pools at low water and the tiny translucent fish.Where the coast weathers, time and the sea give me clues: fossils as small as a fingernail, ammonite prints as big as a wheel.
