Eleanor Newell

Having developed a passionate interest in Raku, I have spent the past eight years developing my own palette of glazes. Particular emphasis on the vibrant spectrum of colours produced by copper oxide, and achieving unusual ‘crazing’ effects, has been a main aim of my work. Although my work is primarily decorative, each object has been designed with a specific use in mind, which bears an important relation to the overall appearance and form.
