Rachel Pearce

Originally from Shildon, County Durham Rachel has been painting professionally for over ten years. She now works as a full-time painter and illustrator from her studio at her home in Brighton. She exhibits regularly and also has wide experience of teaching art. Since graduating in 1995 from Brighton University, her work has been published in several books by Bloomsbury, Penguin and Oxford University Press, illustrating such publications as, Oxford Treasury of Time Poems, The Moonlight Stream and The Extraordinary Lightenting Conductor. In 2005 the Association of Illustrators selected her for a showcase of contemporary British illustration, and recently she was invited to exhibit with The Society of Botanical Artists at Central Hall Westminster in this year's annual exhibition.
