Gillian Bates produces contemporary embroideries in the form of wall hung textile art predominantly showcasing local seaside scenes. She has been working as a full time maker since 2008 from her studio based in Eastbourne. She has also proudly exhibited work nationally and internationally and created work for John Lewis, The View from the Shard, and produced sample work for leading design studios. All her work is a celebration of the quirkiness of British life.
